The medicinal plant, which is antibacterial, thirst-quenching, laxative and diuretic, is particularly valued in Africa. The plant is originally native to the tropics and has flowers, that are often used for teas, and give them a pleasant scent and a red colour. There are 200 to 300 species of the hibiscus plant genus, some of which are used as ornamental plants rather than herbs or medicinal products.
The product is available in conventional and certified organic quality.
